Individual lessons
Lessons can be 30mins to 2hours long.
Beginners:
Can cover a course written by me and the Deep Pocket Drummers or just learn a tune of your choice!
We can also work on techniques, reading, styles and musicianship and independence (using all your limbs separately) . I concentrate on the role of the drummer in a band and give you confidence to lead whatever ensemble you wish to be in. It’s no fun just playing by yourself.
Intermediate/advanced:
You may wish to focus on areas of your choice or where I may see fault. We can work on specific techniques such Moeller, jazz, brushes, Chart reading (big bands, etc.), session skills, tuning, etc.
I use all sorts of resources and write note-for-note drum scores of tunes to learn. If you just wish to learn a certain song we can do just that. I transcribe it for you and teach you everything you need to play it like a pro!
Group lessons/master-classes

Youth concert band or Orchestra percussion master-classes:
Focus on section playing and techniques on each instrument required.
Cadet Marching Band master-classes:
Techniques, section playing, stick work drills, tenor drum floushing, correct cymbal playing and routines.
